Short Take: Corel sells product line to get focused

Corel is sellings its Medical Series, a line of multimedia CDs, to Hoffmann + Associates, a multimedia company. This move is part of Corel's strategy to focus more on core technologies: WordPerfect, CorelDraw, and Java technology. All seven titles in the Medical Series, as well as all titles currently under development, will be included in the deal. Corel will acquire a minority interest in H + A.
