E-commerce software vendor Connect next week will announce new tools for customizing and automating the company's Connect software. Application Workbench tools, due by October, will let customers design, develop, deploy, and monitor their OrderStream, PurchaseStream, and OneServer software. Connect tools work with tools from Rational, Marimba, and Cognos. Connect's tools will cost $5,000 per application, but users also must arrange to license technology from Rational, Marimba, or Cognos.
