Comcast Cable will roll out interactive digital services to some 80,000 customers in Charleston, South Carolina, using Scientific-Atlanta's Explorer 2000 advanced digital set-tops and interactive network. It is the third such regional system to be deployed in Comcast's network, which totals 4.4 million subscribers. Deployment is expected by the third quarter of 1998.
