Short Take: Cisco to take charge for NetSpeed acquisition

Networking company Cisco Systems said it will record a one-time charge of between 15 cents and 18 cents a share against third-quarter earnings, in connection with its acquisition of NetSpeed, a maker of communications gear that speeds up the flow of computer data through telephone wire. Cisco agreed to buy closely held NetSpeed in March for $236 million in stock.
