Short Take: Chipsets to promote memory duel

As expected, Via Technologies today announced it will make chipsets that will allow PC makers to use Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM inside computers. DDR SDRAM is a faster form of standard memory that will compete with Rambus memory. Computers using AMD processors, and likely some incorporating Intel chips, will adopt DDR SDRAM.
