Short Take: Check Point revenues soar

Firewall software maker Check Point Software announced second quarter revenues of $17.3 million, up a whopping 134 percent from $7.4 million in the same period last year. The company reported net income of $7.7 million, or 21 cents per share, versus $3.2 million and 10 cents per share one year ago. The company attributes the strong showing to an increased demand for network security products.
