Computer Associates today said it has purchased Australian antivirus software maker Cybec Proprietary Limited for an undisclosed amount. CA will continue to sell Cybec's antivirus software, named Vet, as a standalone product. The company said the acquisition will help CA reach more customers in Australia and nearby Asian markets.
