Short Take: Banyan sales plummet

Banyan Systems has announced that revenues for its third fiscal quarter dropped to $18.8 million, versus $28.1 million one year ago. The struggling networking software maker did manage to eke out a profit for the quarter, its first in over a year, by posting net income of $769,000, or 4 cents per share, versus a loss of $783,000 or 5 cents per share in the same period last year.
