Short Take: Amazon makes a play for U.K. kids

Amazon.com has opened a new store selling books, music, videos and games for in the United Kingdom. The online retailer, based in Seattle, sent a letter to shoppers today announcing the store, which offers buying guides, reviews and recommendations for kids' products. The new store follows Amazon's European expansion into France and precedes a planned retail area just for babies.
