3Com and Tivoli Systems announced a technology sharing partnership that allows both companies to extend their current roster of management products. 3Com will add a Tivoli management agent and distribution capabilities to its software, while Tivoli will create links to 3Com's TranscendWare network management and services software. 3Com already has an extensive partnership with Tivoli's parent company IBM. Results of the software integration will be available next year.
