Software AG, Germany's second largest software company, announced Dr. Erwin W. Koenigs as president and CEO, effective November 1. He replaces Peter Schnell, cofounder and head of the company since 1969. Formerly, Koenigs was chairman of the executive board of Linotype-Hell AG, a supplier of prepress and publishing technology.
