Short: Seagate plans new plant in Northern Ireland

Seagate Technology announced plans to establish a recording media production plant in Limavady, Northern Ireland, according to AP. The $100 million, 174,000-square-foot plant will make the stuff that lets hard drives read, write, and store digital information: nickel-plated aluminum disc substrates. Production will start in the second quarter of 1997.
