Short: Nokia, new version of 9000 Communicator

Nokia announced the PCS1900 version of its 9000 Communicator. It combines digital voice and data services with the ability to send and receive faxes, use email, and access the Internet, corporate, and public databases. It also provides users with an electronic calendar, address book, notepad, and calculator. The OS platform, GEOS, was developed by Geoworks, who worked with Intel to develop the Nokia 9000. It will be available in the second half of 1997.
