The 32C-PCI, a 32-inch wide-screen TV, will include email and other Internet functions, the company said. Sharp will begin selling the TV on October 1. The price is set at about $3,100.
A remote-control device will allow viewing of about 300 preprogrammed Internet sites, including TV program guides, newspapers, and bulletin boards, the company said. The TV uses a 28.8kbps connection.
Mitsubishi Electric will being selling a similar TV sometime in October.
