SBC Communications said on Tuesday it will extend its offer of digital subscriber line (DSL) access that costs $26.95 a month. The offer, , provides DSL Internet access for $26.95 a month for the first year and then $49.95 per month after that. SBC has added more than 300,000 DSL subscribers every quarter for the past three periods. It has attributed this growth to price discounts and to a bundling deal with Web portal Yahoo.

An SBC representative declined to give further details of the offer extension, but said the promotion would continue past its original expiration date of Feb. 1.
