RIM brings BlackBerry to Australia

Research In Motion announced a deal Thursday with Telstra Mobile to bring the BlackBerry e-mail pager to Australia. "Combined with our GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) network, we are confident that BlackBerry will be very popular with our customers," said Craig Cameron, a managing director at Telstra. "Telstra has already commenced acceptance testing and plans to install pilots in June and commercially roll out the solution later in the year."
