OuterBay collects $9 million

Software maker OuterBay Technologies said Monday it has raised $9 million in venture capital, bringing the company's total funding to $19 million. The Campbell, Calif.-based company, founded in 1997, makes software that helps companies reduce the cost of storing and maintaining data generated by business applications, such as accounting, customer service and order processing systems. Redpoint Ventures in Menlo Park, Calif., led the latest investment round.
