OnLive Technologies has announced that it will begin user testing 3D voice chat in its beta version of the OnLive Traveler VRML (virtual reality modeling language) browser. The browser allows voice communications among multiple users in 3D virtual worlds, according to company officials.

Beta testing participation is free, but users must commit to a minimum of two hours per week and report any bugs that are found.

To participate, you'll need a Pentium Multimedia PC running Windows 95 and a 14.4-kbps or faster modem. Frequent OnLive Traveler users can register to win T-shirts, free Internet access time, and other prizes.
