No need for tie with job IntraView

IntelliMatch will introduce a new shrink-wrapped intranet application later this year that lets employees tout their talents and managers access resumes to fill positions in-house via the same network.

IntelliMatch will introduce a new shrink-wrapped intranet application later this year that lets employees tout their talents and managers access resumes to fill positions in-house.

The IntraViewer has two online components: an application that lets employees create electronic profiles, and another used by managers to post job listings and review potential candidates. The IntraViewer automated query tool lets managers search a database of employee profiles and identify candidates. The tool also shows employee training needs and skill gaps, according to IntelliMatch.

Demanding that companies "stop interviewing (and) start IntraViewing," the San Jose, California-based company said the application will help businesses maintain employee loyalty and reduce turnover by making it easier and more transparent to advance careers without changing companies. The tool will help cut down on the costs and time involved in outside recruitment. It can also help managers decide how to reduce staff redundancies following a merger or acquisition, IntelliMatch, said.

The product, which may be used with standard Web browsers, is currently in beta testing, but will be available sometime in the fourth quarter. Initial pricing is set for $50,000 per database server, the company said.
