New Honda car-shopping site unveiled

Cambridge Technology Partners unveiled the official Web for the American sales unit of Japan's Honda Motor. It links directly to Honda's dealer network so consumers may configure and price different models and options, get price quotes via e-mail, and apply for preapproval of online credit. The move comes as automakers experiment with using the Internet to link to American car buyers, despite strict franchise laws that forbid direct sales.
