Microsoft has licensed WQuinn's
storage-monitoring software as part of a Windows 2000-based kit for building special-purpose servers, the companies said. WQuinn developed a customized version of its StorageCentral software for the deal. Terms weren't disclosed.
WQuinn's software allows administrators to monitor storage system usage, block computers from storing specific types of files and find wasted storage space. The software is used by Ford, Sprint and others.
