Linux seller Penguin Computing adds VP

Penguin Computing has named Scott Weinbrandt vice president of marketing, the third new top executive at the company to be announced in the last two weeks. Weinbrandt, along with new Chief Executive Martin Seyer, previously worked at Dell Computer's server division. The company, which makes Linux computers that compete with comparable models from Dell, VA Linux Systems and others, also named John Page chief financial officer on Jan. 22. Page previously worked at Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard.
