The Linux specialist formerly known as Lindows announced Wednesday that it has completed its name change to Linspire. The company agreed to the name change earlier as part of a $20 million legal settlement with Microsoft, which had claimed the original named infringed on its Windows trademark.
MP3.com founder Michael Robertson formed Linspire to sell a desktop version of the open-source Linux operating system with an interface similar to Windows. The company recently scrapped a planned initial public offering.
