New monitors from LG at CES 2010.
LG is the first vendor out of the gate at CES 2010 with major monitor announcements. The company revealed a number of 3D and LED monitors today, so let's get right to them.
LG E50 monitor series (20-, 21.5-, 23-inch class sizes)
According to LG, the 23-inch version of the E50 is the first product to earn UL Environment's new Sustainable Product Certification (SPC) for high-tech equipment.
LG E40 monitor series (23-inch class size)
The E40 line has a less sleek design than the E50, but according to LG, it incorporates all the core functions of the E50 series.
LG's new W2363D monitor adds 120Hz refresh rate--necessary for doing stereoscopic 3D.
Available in 23- and 27-inch models, the M62D incldes HDMI, DVI-D, and D-sub ports with built-in speakers.
For business users, LG announced the W46 monitor series (21.5- and 23-inch class sizes). The W46PM also boasts a height/pivot stand option and built-in speaker.
LG says its new W2220P monitor (22-inch class size) is "ideal for consumers who work with graphics-intensive applications or Web design." This stands to reason, as the monitor uses an IPS panel and has the following specs.
No word on price or availability just yet, but that information should be forthcoming.
