iVast gets $25 million in funding
iVast announced Monday that it has received a $25 million third round of funding, led by Softbank Venture Capital. Other investors included Sun Microsystems, Macrovision, and previous investors BCE Capital, Centennial Ventures, Vanguard Ventures, Venture Strategy Partners and Vulcan Ventures. Santa Clara, Calif.-based iVast has raised a total of $37 million. The company has developed software using the MPEG-4 standard.
