IpValue raised a $30 million first round of funding from iFormation Group, an incubator company. The company, which is still seeking headquarter space in California's Silicon Valley, partners with companies to handle their patented intellectual property. IpValue will license a company's patent portfolio to other companies and will seek to protect any infringement on the patents. The company receives its revenue from taking a portion of the income generated by licensing and protecting the patents.
