Ikanos receives $25 million

Chipmaker Ikanos Communications announced on Monday it received a $25 million third round of funding, led by Walden International. Walden, which received a board seat, was joined by JPMorgan Partners, Ridgewood Capital and previous investors Anthelion Capital, Greylock Partners, Sequoia Capital and Telesoft Partners in this latest round. Fremont, Calif-based Ikanos has raised a total that is more than $42.5 million and received a decline in valuation with the latest round. The company's chips are designed to allow its customers to use existing copper-wire systems to connect to broadband fiber optic systems. See complete list.
