IBM and the U.S. Department of Commerce launched on Tuesday BuyUSA.com, an online marketplace designed to link small and medium-sized U.S. businesses with international buyers and sellers. An official said the goal of the online marketplace is to make it easier for greater numbers of U.S. companies to export goods. The Commerce Department's U.S. Commercial Service will prequalify U.S. companies, which will pay a $300 annual fee to take part.
