HP nabs deals worth $25 million

Hewlett-Packard said Tuesday that it has landed $25 million in new business in separate deals with five banks. The customers are Taiwan's Taishin International Bank, Saudi Arabia's National Commercial Bank, China Everbright Bank, the National Bank of Kazakhstan and Dubai Bank.

HP said it is providing HP Superdome servers as well as services to the banks. "HP is helping banks transition from legacy systems to highly scalable and flexible systems that enable them to be more competitive and meet the needs of their customers," said Owen Kemp, worldwide vice president and general manager, financial industries, HP Enterprise Systems Group.
