Research firm Gomez is laying off about 20 percent of its staff, company executives confirmed Monday. The Waltham, Mass., company focuses on measuring consumer and customer experience for Web sites. Chief Executive Julio Gomez said the company is reducing its work force by about 30 people. "Basically, it's very simply having to align our expenses with the unclear revenue picture," he said. "We built a strong engine for growth and we need to cut back on capacity."
