Full-text retrieval product debuts

Executive Technologies has introduced full-text retrieval software that lets users locate information in documents downloaded from the Net.

The new software, called HotSearch, works with documents written in both HTML and Acrobat formats and features ranked retrieval in order of relevance; fuzzy searching--which lets the user find documents even if the words being searched are misspelled; and range searching of date and number fields.

HotSearch costs $39. A 90-day trial version is available at the company's Web site.
