Folio lets users surf Web offline

Folio's Web Retriever 2.0 offline Internet browser personalizes information feeds.

Folio today introduced Web Retriever 2.0, a new offline Internet browser that indexes Web information and gives users the tools to personalize the feeds.

Users specify the locations of the information they want, then Web Retriever downloads and indexes it into the Folio Infobase format. Infobase compresses the information and offers word and phrase searching, as well as editing and personalization tools.

Web Retriever 2.0 can be downloaded from the company's Web site starting in July for $39.95. A 30-day demo version will also be available.
