CSC to handle jet maker's IT services

Computer Sciences said Wednesday that Gulfstream Aerospace has agreed to outsource management of its information technology services to the professional services company. The two companies signed a deal last month and approximately 220 Gulfstream employees joined Computer Sciences on Dec. 29, as part of the agreement. Under the 10-year, $510 million deal, Computer Sciences will handle maintenance of Gulfstream's mainframe and desktop systems and will develop and maintain applications for the business-jet manufacturer. Computer Sciences has a long-standing outsourcing deal in place with Gulfstream parent General Dynamics.
