Covisint names European head

Online auto exchange Covisint named consulting veteran Lars Olrik to be managing director of its European operations. Olrik, 39, joins Covisint from management consultancy Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, U.K., where he was vice president of European business-to-business consulting practice focused on the automotive industry. Covisint, which was founded by auto giants DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor and General Motors, is a central marketplace for parts auctions and project collaboration over the Web. The company, which won regulatory approval late last year from both the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the European Union, is still on the hunt for a CEO.
