Com21 sees 2 pct sales impact from AT&T

Com21 (Nasdaq: CMTO) said its sales won't be hurt much by AT&T Broadband's decision to stop taking product shipments.

After market close Monday, broadband network equipment vendor Com21 said the halt on AT&T (NYSE: T) shipments won't affect more than 2 percent of revenue for the current quarter. Last week, AT&T Broadband announced it would not accept deliveries of from suppliers for the balance of the fourth quarter.

Shares of Com21 were unchanged at 8.0625 in afterhours activity on the Island electronic communications network, following the company's announcement.

Several network equipment suppliers saw their shares fall after AT&T's announcement. Com21, whose product line covers several high speed technologies, said its AT&T business was limited to cable access equipment.

First Call consensus currently expects Com21 to lose 22 cents per share in the fourth quarter.
