Baan aims for understanding with new toolset
Business software maker Baan launches a new Web-based architecture intended to help customers understand the data collected by its software.
The company said it is delivering a set of Web-based tools for analyzing and sharing information generated and contained in Baan's enterprise resource planning software.
Baan said the new tools, called Baan.agility, include agility.serviceport, a suite of tools and resources for individual projects; agility.knowledge@work, a database of Baan consultants, product staff, and partners; and quality assurance tools and training applications.
Baan, which competes with SAP, PeopleSoft, and Oracle in the enterprise resource planning market, said it will deliver the Baan.agility software beginning later this year.
