Adaptive Broadband jumps 15 percent

Adaptive Broadband Corp., (Nasdaq: ADAP) ran up 15 percent Thursday after announcing it has signed a five-year, $100 million contract with Fuzion Wireless Communications , to purchase AB-Access fixed wireless broadband equipment.

This second contract between Adaptive Broadband and Fuzion brings the total commitment to $200, and is a result Fuzion's push into brroadband services in Latin America, the companies said.

Shares were up 3.38 to 26.06.

Fuzion said Adaptive Broadband's reliability was especially important in its expansion into Latin America, an area prone to heavy rainfall and extreme weather. Fuzion plans to deliver the company's AB-Access MMDS product into Latin America in the fourth calendar quarter of this year.
