A.G. Edwards is investing in Dell hardware. The St. Louis-based financial services holding company plans to purchase almost 15,000 Dell computers, including 700 PowerEdge servers and 14,000 Optiplex desktops, to outfit its branch offices in the United States, the two companies said in a statement.
Aside from purchasing its new computers from Dell, A.G. Edwards will also tap the Round Rock, Texas, PC maker's services group to install and support the machines after the rollout. Dell will also manage jobs such as running network cable for A.G. Edwards' branch offices, the companies said.
