Free This Week is a new iteration of Xfinity's Watchathon Week.

Xfinity customers will be able to get a taste of paid services for no additional charge through the Free This Week program, parent company Comcast said Tuesday. Throughout the year, it'll offer a rotating selection of content, with access to streaming platforms (for example, HBO Max) and fitness programs, each week.

Free This Week is a new iteration of Xfinity's Watchathon Week, a program Comcast debuted 10 years ago that offered customers a week to sample content. The new program is available to all Xfinity customers, including broadband and video customers. Broadband customers can access it on the 4K streaming device Xfinity Flex and video customers on Xfinity X1

The first two weeks of the program's content for 2023 are all about fitness. Apps such as The Great Courses, Gaia, One Day University, Gaiam TV, Sweat Factor, and FitFusion by Jillian Michaels will be available for free during this period.

Other streaming content -- including from HBO Max, Showtime, History Vault, Revolt, Lifetime Movie Club and more -- will become available this year, but the company didn't provide a timeline.

You can access "Free This Week" programming and see what's coming up by saying "Free This Week" into your voice remote.
