Wasabi adds heat to NetBSD marketing
Wasabi Systems, which sells an offshoot of Unix, hires Jim Schrand, formerly at Intel, as its vice president of marketing.
Wasabi Systems, which sells a version of the NetBSD offshoot of the Unix operating system, has hired Jim Schrand to be vice president of marketing, the Norfolk, Va.-based company said Thursday.
Previously, Schrand worked for Intel on planning and marketing storage-related products. Wasabi's software is designed for "embedded" systems such as networking gear.
