In what's being claimed as an Aussie first, Modular Records is seeking submissions for a social media savvy intern via Twitter.

The position is billed for a "digital ninja" (does that mean you get to stealthily kill people's digital selves and then tiptoe away?) and requires applicants to be MyTweetBook proficient, as well as have some knowledge of Campaign Reports and Google Analytics. (Full details can be found here.) This Twitter-based recruitment drive is being run in association with V Raw, the energy drink's corporate social responsibility arm that attempts to place young folk into internships with a creative bent.
Unfortunately, the position is unpaid, but if the successful applicant is a stellar performer a career might well materialise. Previous V Raw interns include current Power FM, Ballarat, breakfast host Julia Zass who did a stint with radio station Nova delivering icy cold cans of Coke.
We're not sure how you're meant to grab Modular's attention, satisfy all the criteria and show the requisite musical taste in 127 characters (a hashtag's required) is beyond us, but then again we can't order breakfast without a quick detour via Marcel Proust. But, if you think you've got what it takes, tweet away. Applications close at 5pm EST, 4 September and must include the hashtag #v_raw_modja. And thanks to the hashtag, you can also check out what other applicants for the position have written.
If tweeting for a career sounds interesting, a number of Australian employers, including Deloitte Australia, have recruiting accounts on Twitter.
