While DC Comics superheroes Batman and Superman can never seem to get along, it's nice to see Supergirl happily hanging out with Wonder Woman.
"Supergirl" actress Melissa Benoist on Thursday posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself posing with Lynda Carter, an actress best known for her role in the "Wonder Woman" TV series from the '70s.
"Met a wonderful woman today," Melissa Benoist wrote on her Instagram post.
Carter will be running the country, and hopefully having Supergirl's back, as the president of the United States in season 2 of "Supergirl."
"We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter," Executive Producer Greg Berlanti said in March.
The extent of Carter's new role has yet to be revealed, but her first appearance as the president will be in the third episode and will continue throughout the show.
"Supergirl" season 2 premieres Monday, October 10 on The CW. (Disclosure: The CW is a joint venture between Warner Bros and CBS, owner of CNET.)
