Short Take: Teen Web site to offer free ISP

Teen Web site Bolt.com will add free, ad-subsidized Internet access to its range of services. The company has signed a deal with 1stUp.com, the company that provides AltaVista's free Net access service, and will launch the service this fall. The move marks the growing adoption of free Internet services by Web and computer companies, which is helping to push down access prices from established companies such as Microsoft.
