Short Take: Read-Rite appoints sales chief

Read-Rite has promoted Jim Murphy to senior vice president of customer business units, succeeding Alan S. Lowe, who was recently named president and chief operating officer. Murphy will be responsible for all customer interaction, including sales, product design, and product life cycle management.
