NEC Technologies president and CEO Jerry
Benson will resign from the company, effective at the end of the month. NEC
Technologies, a subsidiary of NEC, divested itself from the PC maker last
year by selling off its assets to Packard Bell. Benson recently spent
time reorganizing the company in the aftermath of the sale. His successor has yet to be named. In May the company expects to announce a new strategic direction. Benson said he wants run a start-up company.
