Short Take: LookSmart gets $60 million in financing

Internet directory LookSmart has completed a $60 million round of financing. Investors include Amerindo Investment Advisors, Citicorp Equity Capital, Cox Interactive Media, and Hambrecht & Quist, among others. LookSmart said it will use the equity to fund acquisitions and international growth as well as for consumer brand building. LookSmart is planning to launch a new interface in the next month.
