Online music company MP3.com says Ted Waitt has resigned from its board of directors. Waitt, who joined MP3.com's board in March 1999, said he has "extensive commitments" to matters that are both profit- and nonprofit-related. Waitt founded PC manufacturer Gateway in 1985 and is currently chairman of the board of that company.
