Total Entertainment Network (TEN), a
provider of Internet games and game communities, announced that it has
garnered $30 million in funding, which it plans to use for marketing, sales
staffing, and expansion of its distribution partner roster and content
lineup. TEN received the majority of its latest funding round from new strategic partners Liberty Digital and Nokia Ventures. TEN aims to delve
deeper into the broadband and handheld Web platforms, considered by many to
be the major growth areas for consumer access to entertainment media.
