Short Take: Education firms enter Net pact

Sylvan Learning Systems, a provider of educational services, has penned a strategic partnership with ZapMe, which offers free computers to thousands of schools if they agree to view Web ads. Sylvan will develop online content for ZapMe and set up Net-based testing services. Sylvan also made an undisclosed investment in ZapMe.
