Short Take: DOJ to turn over Netscape-AOL documents to Microsoft
The judge hearing the Microsoft antitrust case has approved an agreement in which the Justice Department will turn over to the software giant documents it has collected in its investigation of America Online's $4.2 billion buyout of Netscape Communications. After the merger was announced last November, Microsoft said it proved fatal to the antitrust case and filed motions seeking access to regulatory documents related to the transaction.
